Overgrown verges along Oxford Road and Church Lane Reported anonymously at 10:51, Mon 16 November 2020 The verges leading up to Hampton Poyle and along Oxford Road and Church Lane, Hampton Poyle, are overgrown and need cutting back. Flooding is a perennial problem in Hampton Poyle. These verges run alongside ditches that carry away excess rainwater. If the verges are not cut the ditches become completely clogged. Also, two cyclists in the village have complained that the overgrown verges cause visibility problems on bends. We understand that in the interests of biodiversity it is a good thing to keep the verges through the Summer/early autumn. Please could they now be cut back. They are causing concern and upset to our local residents. Many thanks, Kate Curtis (Chair, Hampton Poyle and Hampton Gay Parish Meeting)
