Blocked 10 inch drain and blocked culvert/ditch Reported anonymously at 12:37, Sun 25 October 2020 Good afternoon, The culvert and rainwater drainage that runs along the council owned land behind our property (Stone Farm Barn, Church Hill, Forest Hill, Oxford, Oxfordshire, OX331EG) and the A40 is completely blocked. The 10" drain is blocked full with roots and is causing flooding of our garden, our neighbours' garden and the road at the bottom of Church Hill (I have photos of this but can only attach 3 photos to this report). The water cannot escape through the 10" drainage due to the blockages and is flooding a huge area of council and private land. Every one metre joint of the drainage has become dislodged and is allowing roots to grow through these joints and is blocking the drainage in multiple sections. It is approximately a 10 metre section of drainage. The drains were cleared approximately three years ago and the problem has already returned due to the sections of drain becoming dislodged by the roots from the trees. The culvert/ditch that leads to the drain is completely overgrown with trees and also requires dredging urgently as the bottom of the ditch is too high and is blocking the drainage intake due to the lack of maintenance. This is going to start having financial implications on our property due to the damage being caused by the flooding of our garden. The location should be quite clear from the photos and the mapping location, but I am happy to show anyone the exact location in person or over the phone if needed. Kindest regards, Peter Miller
