Dangerous foot bridge superstructure

Reported anonymously at 16:56, Wed 22 January 2020

I am genuinely concerned about the condition of the support rails on the wooden pedestrian bridge over the Thames cut near Abingdon lock. Wooden uprights have been missing for months in one place and have had security tape wrapped around. The tape is insufficient and a significant gap is exposed. This is easily big enough for a toddler to fall through and straight into the river. This is dangerous and has been in this state for ages. The rest of the bridge superstructure is also in poor condition. I can’t possibly be the first person to bring this defect to your attention. When is it going be rectified.
