Misleading signs Reported anonymously at 22:55, Thu 11 July 2019 In St Ebbes, south of Queen St, a noticeable couple of yellow signs declare ‘Pedestrian Zone’ and a no-parking symbol. Adjacent to Halifax Bank a small blue sign indicates a shared path. (I’m not sure if the arrow is a one-direction only sign, it’s ambiguous too)(the no5 on a red background is opaque in meaning). Since the City Council has apparently decided to not reinstate the cycle symbol on the ground, the presence of people cycling leads to confusion and sometimes dispute for both pedestrian and cyclist. The yellow sign needs to have a ‘cycling permitted’ adjunct. This would better conform with stated City and County policies.
