Crossing Guard needed at Albion Street / London Road Junction Reported anonymously at 13:16, Tue 4 June 2019 A crossing Guard (Lollipop person) is urgently required to ensure our children can get to school safely. This junction is dangerous and the rush hour traffic is intimidating. To cross over from the narrow pavement of Albion Street in order to get to school, children need to be aware of traffic coming up Albion Street from the right, cars coming down Rock Hill, infront, cars coming from London Road, Banbury Road, Over Norton Road and Horsefair from the left AND those cars trying to get into the petrol station. There is no incentive for these cars to allow safe passage for pedestrians. I walk my child to and from school every day, and every day we feel daunted by the prospect of this crossing. We are encouraged to walk to school, but a hazard like this deters many people. I have a child in a pushchair and a child walking next to me as do many others and we are scared for the safety of our children. A crossing guard is urgently required. I would like to be kept informed on the progress of this reported hazard, can you let me know when the inspector will be visiting the scene.
