Persistent back-up in traffic due to poor indications of Right of Way and use by over-sized vehicles

Reported anonymously at 16:29, Fri 22 March 2019

1st problem is the confusing Right-of-way for this 'chicaned' narrowing of the street, as the road signs are not placed in a clear area, with a defined waiting area. Possibly could do with a set of traffic lights at times. 2nd and huge problem at many times is the blatent use of the road for over-sized vehicles, especially as its a weight-restricted 7.5T road. HGV drivers often sneak through Watlington, only to 1. Break up the road surface and 2. Block the road at this chicane, when they struggle to get through the narrow access. Maybe we need to enforce the restriction properly with weight sensored cameras at each end of Watlington and/or provide traffic calming measures, along with a better thought out set of road markings at the choke point, as indicated by the pin.
