Surface Dressing applied on the B4100 road in the Summer was not finished

Reported by Shaun Burton at 06:41, Tue 13 November 2018

The B4100 road between Baynards Green and Upper Aynho Grounds had surface dressing applied in the Summer. Sufficient sweeping up of the surplus loose chippings was not carried out afterwards which is evidenced by the large amount of loose chippings on the junction with the Fritwell road. This is a serious hazard for motorcyclists. The entire length of the treated surface has lots of loose surplus chippings which are constantly being thrown up by other vehicles leading to damage to vehicles travelling behind or in the other direction. My car has suffered three windscreen chips, multiple paint chips and damage to the underside caused by the constant shotblasting effect from small chippings being thrown up by the tyres. The road desperately needs sweeping to clear the loose chippings, and which should have been done as part of the standard procedure in the Summer.
