Road not fit for purpose Reported anonymously at 19:35, Thu 27 September 2018 I have already reported that the road surface between Lyne Road and Yarnton Road is in a poor state of repair as follows - plus your reply Dear OCC, I think that there has been a mistake in the judgement of the person(s) if the route in question was inspected. Perhaps there could be an independent "glance" taken by somebody. or you might like to ask the Bus Company for an opinion! I would not have raised the matter if I had not had a concern .It is a mistake to "Close the report". This report has been closed. However the issue has been passed to the relevant team for consideration for future programmed works.State changed to: No further action. The bus route in Grovelands, between Lyne Road and Yarnton Road, is showing= excessive wear on the road surface along the majority of the route. The bus route in Grovelands, between Lyne Road and Yarnton Road, is showing excessive wear on the road surface along the majority of the route. The biggest problem is the terminus near Lyne Road, but generally the mini round- abouts have some serious wear. As a cyclist I am finding the road particularly difficult to navigate at night. I am sure I am not alone. This problem has been evident for some time now but one spot in particular has been aggravated by heat on the tarmac. | |
