Broken streetlamp needs reinstating between entrance to UNIV site and Woodstock Road

Reported anonymously at 10:15, Sun 14 January 2018

Sometime over the Christmas period the streetlamp was damaged - presumably a vehicle hit it. It seems the Council is aware as the majority of the street lamp (which had been knocked down) was removed from the pavement and security tape was wound around the base. The base is all that remains. It is important that this streetlamp is reinstated as soon as possible as it is critical for the provision of light in this dark area of the street which does not benefit from any other illumination such as from houses. Staverton Road is part of a designated cycle route and as such is used by many cyclists as well as many pedestrians (including lots of school children) because of the nearby traffic light controlled crossings on the Banbury and Woodstock Roads. This should be a priority in my opinion.
