A sizeable pothole has suddenly developed on the A4155 Reading Road in Shiplake near the War Memorial Reported anonymously at 16:25, Fri 12 January 2018 A pothole more than 1 foot diameter has developed today (12/1/18) on the A4155 by the War Memorial in Shiplake, opposite the junction with Woodlands Road. A depression has formed in the road surface, suggesting a weakness in the underlying road structure at this point. The A4155 is a busy road and this new pothole, which is on a bend at a busy junction, will worsen rapidly if it is not attended to. Vehicles which try to avoid running over the pothole may swerve towards oncoming traffic.
